Incidental Expenses
- Throughout the year incidental expenses should be anticipated by the parents to cover such items as athletic suits, books, bus card, the school cafeteria fees for the basic programme, school trips and personal pocket money.
- Parents may also wish to apply for a credit card on behalf of their child for emergency use.
- Individual spending varies with each student and parents should budget accordingly.
Deposit
- For Academic Programme a deposit for unexpected expenses for an amount between 500,00 and 1500,00 Euros will be asked, its exact amount will be mentioned during the registration process and depend upon the type of stay and its duration
- This deposit may cover any damage or incidental expense that may occur during the stay of the student as well as return to the home country in case of violation. The total or partial unused amount will be returned to the student’s family in a maximum of 90 days after the end of the stay.
Extensions:
- It is possible for a student to extend the duration of the academic programme once he/she has arrived in France.
- These extensions must be dealt with in agreement and for legal and liability reasons the procedure must be followed : the parents should contact the agent in the native country, the extension form must be filled out and the fees according to the extension invoice must be paid before the extension can be granted.
- It is Education en France who arranges the extension with the host family and the school.
- The extension fees are calculated at prorate of the cost of the programme.
- The extension notice should be given 2 months in advance.
Early Termination of the Programme
- Education en France reserves the right to dismiss and send home any student who’s mental or physical health requires action or whose conduct is considered improper or offensive to the host family, community or school. Such conduct includes, but is not limited to, illegal drugs, unacceptable sexual behaviour, drinking of alcoholic beverages, violation of law, unsatisfactory school performance or other evidence that the student is not capable of, or is unwilling to participate fully in a cross-cultural environment.
- Education en France also reserves the right to dismiss any student who is found to have misrepresented him/herself or provided false information in the programme application. In the event the student is returned home, either alone or accompanied, the natural parents are responsible for all expenses.
Warning - expulsions
- It is mandatory for students to respect our student code of conduct and the school’s rules.
- Any misconduct will lead to a dismissal of the programme and the return of the student to his/her country of origin.
- We send write warning and the expulsion could be at the first or second warning depending on the type of misconduct and gravity of the situation.
